Plastic Crisis
The world is facing a major environmental problem due to the excessive production of disposable plastic products. The ocean is the ultimate destination for most of the plastic waste generated on land, leading to millions of tons of debris ending up in the ocean every year. Improperly discarded plastic litter poses a threat to marine life, as it can cause entanglement and ingestion, leading to their death.
Plastic objects exposed to sunlight and seawater become brittle and break down into microplastics, leading to significant pollution levels in oceans, inland waterways, and on land. Microplastics have been detected in human blood, beer, and drinking water, highlighting the need for a better understanding of plastic use, disposal, and environmental impact to mitigate the harmful effects of plastic waste.

Our objective is to combat plastic pollution by recovering plastic waste from the environment and diverting additional plastic pollution before it finds its way into nature. We partner with businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations to raise awareness about this global crisis.
